Rarely do I get surprised by anything anymore, but…I’m genuinely shocked and appalled that adults and even twenty-somethings (like myself) are mocking these teens or are chalking them up to being “crisis actors”, solely because they have weaponized unimaginable grief and channeled it into righteous anger for change.

Yes they are children, and if the adults constantly pointing that out had done what they’re doing now (say…around the time a known white supremacist with pending felonies used a legal loophole to acquire means to slaughter 9 people in a historically black church? Or when 26 first graders and their teachers were mowed down at school?? 32 college students and faculty on their campus??? 49 people in a LGBTQ nightclub???? Or 58 at an outdoor concert?????) then maybe, just fucking maybe, they could be children right now.
