37 – Most well done character death
I don’t know. Marvel has a problem in that they often rush their deaths. Or that they are used as a plot device. Many villains are slaughtered without much fanfare and then you have the “heroic” sacrifices that are mainly there to give some pretend gravitas to an endfight…
Maybe Peggy Carter. It was devastating and cruel, how we saw the once so strong-minded Peggy succumb to old age and everything that comes with it. But it was also very real and it doesn’t happen that often (especially not in superhero movies) that we see that. Someone simply dying of old age. It wasn’t heroic, it wasn’t beautiful, it wasn’t some epic sacrifice, not a larger than life moment. It just was. But they did show it. Peggy didn’t disappear from the MCU once she wasn’t valuable as a hero any longer, they treated her with respect. Even if it was to show how Steve is out of time. They still treated Peggy with dignity and gave her story time and an end.
Thank you very much for asking, dear anon. 🙂

the scene in the first avenger when peggy carter asks a soldier to step forward and then she fucking decks him in the face and straight up knocks him to the ground without once showing an emotion changed me as a person
1. Steve Rogers is not just some dumb soldier who follows orders, he thinks outside the box and asks questions and considers consequences.
2. Peggy Carter had plans to eat that boy alive before he became a delicious roast beefcake in Howard Stark’s hottie machine.
3. I don’t understand people who didn’t enjoy this movie.
LAUGHING FOREVER AT #2 BECAUSE PERFECTION
Roast beefcake is just added bonus:
everybody wanted to eat that roast beefcake
Seriously. In the taxi cab she was totally planning on taking his virginity.
And then he got all beefy and she was like “Shit. Heart of gold AND pecs that could crack a walnut between them? How am I supposed to deal with this?????”
The nurse in the background is just thinking “Do it. Do it for all of us. Do him for all of us”
Have only seen this post in screenshots and I’m honored to come across it now
@shayara “do him for all of us” bye
things I think about:
Chris Evans thinks Steve is a virgin, but Hayley Atwell is convinced Steve and Peggy consummated their relationship.
now, you might think a disagreement of such proportions would send fandom into a tailspin. whom do you believe? MUST WE PICK SIDES? IS THIS WHAT THE PLOT OF CIVIL WAR IS REALLY ABOUT?
luckily, the answer is simple
Steve and Peggy disagree on whether or not oral counts
#‘OF COURSE ORAL SEX COUNTS AS SEX STEVE. SEX IS ITS LAST NAME.’#‘IF YOU CAN’T GET PREGNANT IT’S NOT SEX’#‘WHO TOLD YOU THAT? BUCKY?’
This is my argument when people say Pluto isn’t a planet. Then what is it? Dwarf planet. And you know what a dwarf planet is? A FUCKING PLANET
i cant believe i never posted this
