Carrie Fisher explains to a little boy what ‘bipolar’ means, at Indiana Comic Con 2015.

I love her so much.

I will always reblog this because it’s the best description of bi-polar I have EVER seen.

(Especially to people who don’t understand what mania means. You aren’t HAPPY, you’re very fast.)

It was SO important to 15-year-old me to learn that PRINCESS LEIA (whose hair I have envied since age 7, btw) was bi-polar.

she is so good and i love her so much, and so so much for TALKING about everything so frankly. (without losing an ounce of her humor).

Slytherin Characteristics

parseltonquinq:

100slytherin:

  • Slytherins often feel like they have too much responsibility on their shoulders.
  • Common Slytherin Boggarts: Failure, death, being trapped, wasps/bees, being buried alive, and being alone.
  • Slytherins are more likely to develop OCD or Depression.
  • Some common Slytherin talents are acting, writing, playing piano, and dancing. Things that require great skill and practice.
  • Slytherins are firm believers in, “If you want something done right, you’ve got to do it yourself.”
  • Slytherin’s can’t keep a secret unless it’s their own, in which case they guard it with their lives.
  • Slytherin’s don’t “Forgive and Forget.” If you did it once, you can do it again.
  • Most Slytherins can be really friendly. (To those people who deserve it.)
  • Slytherins fear facing you after you’ve seen them cry.
  • Slytherins aren’t assholes, people are just too sensitive.
  • Slytherins are likely to come up with ‘What if?’ scenarios. These thoughts might even keep them up at night.
  • Slytherins hold grudges. They may not bring up what you did, but they’ll never forget.
  • Slytherins enjoy horror movies. But, less so if they’re watching them alone.
  • Slytherins don’t like relying on other people.
  • Slytherins can’t stand it when people ask stupid questions, especially when the answer is obvious.
  • Slytherins like to push the limits and see how much they can get away with.
  • When a Slytherin cries, it’s probably from stress, not sadness.
  • Slytherins fear failure.
  • Slytherins are their own worst critics.
  • Slytherins are often very misunderstood.
  • Slytherins keep arguing even when they know they’re wrong.
  • It’s typical of a Slytherin to struggle with religion; they have difficulty putting faith into things that they can’t explain.
  • Slytherins don’t get mad; they get even.
  • A Slytherin won’t forgive you for causing them pain until they’re sure you’ve recieved just as much (or more).
  • Sometimes Slytherins keep fighting long after they’ve forgotten what they were fighting for/about.
  • Slytherins are likely the most stubborn and persistent type of people.
  • When upset, Slytherins detach themselves from everything. If someone asks what’s wrong, they’ll lash out.
  • Many Slytherins use music and lyrics to express themselves.
  • Slytherins hate to be told, “You don’t understand” or having their competence questioned.
  • Slytherins have an odd interest in the mentally ill/disturbed.
  • Slytherins tend to believe that they’re never good enough.

If I ever had any doubts about being a Slytherin, this post just obliterated them. I’m a Slytherin through and through.

When you spend 1 ½ hours reading Vicki’s book and realize that not only did she out Misha as bi, but she also outed the fact that he’s submissive and that she has fingered, rimmed, and pegged his ass before.

WAIT WHAT?!?!?!?!1!!!!!!

Dear Phandom

happylitttlephil:

It’s amazing how Dan and Phil are doing this tour all for us. They’ve come so far, and they’re still thinking about us, about how to make us happy, and especially, how to get to know us more. In “FINAL TICKETS FOR OUR UK TOUR”, they told us to ‘bring’ a few things. New 7 Second Challenges that you’ve come up with, arts and crafts that you’ve made, weird childhood stories, and Internet Support Group problems. The issue with some of those things are, that some of you, don’t know when to not cross a line

  • DO NOT make any challenges for Dan and Phil to kiss.
  • DO NOT have them answer questions about their private life, or relationship status’.
  • DO NOT force anything about the relationship ‘Phan’ onto them.
  • DO NOT show them any fanart that is sexualised, referring to the relationship of phan, or anything at all that is downright creepy.
  • DO NOT under any circumstances, even ask about ‘Phan’.

They are people, who have feelings, and that certain subject is very, very touchy. Don’t do anything that will ruin this for everyone else. People will be very upset, and no one wants that. Please don’t ruin this, Dan and Phil have worked very hard on it, and they want us to be happy.

Thank you,

a smol fan

People are justified in leaving the phandom after this video!! They are justified in not posting anything else dan&phil related after this video! They aren’t hating on dan&phil for posting this video and they aren’t being ‘childish’. Honestly, people not only reposted their work (which has been happening a lot), but dan&phil saw their work when they didn’t want them to! This phandom is toxic, espc if people get mad at others for leaving. Liking and participating in a fandom is a persons choice and something they do for fun. If they don’t find it fun anymore, they are allowed to stop without all this drama.

As any other community (because that’s what a fandom is) there’re rules and norms and you need to learn those rules first and follow them and not break them. Repost is illegal in our fandom community as much as stealing da Vinci paintings is illegal in real world. Artists leaving and deleting their blog, what they’re doing is called sanctions and they have a right to do so after the norms were violated. And please, if you don’t want to learn the rules of any community, don’t join it or rather follow the rules after following a blog.

I once tried to explain depression to someone as like if one day you gradually started to lose both your sense of taste and your ability to feel full. And you don’t know why, but now everything you eat tastes like mashed potatoes and nothing you eat is satisfying. You keep eating because you must eat to live, but the effort that it takes to prepare food is taxing and there is no pay off. You just know it will taste like mashed potatoes. You just know you will still be hungry. So you stop bothering with seasonings. Then you stop bothering to use ingredients you used to like. Then you start to wonder what the point of eating is because there is no payoff. You still feel hungry and you’re sick of the taste and you don’t know if you will ever enjoy food again and you don’t know why this is happening.

If someone comes up to you in this scenario and says, “Well have you tried spicing your food? Using different ingredients? Eating foods you used to love?” It isn’t necessarily helpful because the reason you stopped doing all that in the first place is that everything…tasted…like mashed…potatoes.

This. Completely this.
