The bit in Deadpool where he accidentally leaves his bag full of guns in the car because they didn’t have the budget for any gun SFX in the final confrontation is literally the cinematic equivalent of a webcomic artist going “I blew it up because it was taking too long to draw”.
Yep – last-minute budget cuts. They couldn’t even afford extra gun props at that point; if you watch carefully, you’ll see that the taxi scene is shot so that you only ever actually see Wade handling one particular gun, and the inside of the duffel bag is never visible. It was reportedly mostly full of socks.

Well, it’s uncertain, but some people are taking it that way. Mackie’s response further encouraged the idea that’s how its supposed to be taken.
I’m gonna make a comment even though I didn’t want to initially, and say people are overracting (like they always fucking do). MACKIE MADE THE INNUENDO OUT OF SOMETHING SEB SAID. For the love of Zeus. The man clearly doesn’t get enough sleep and flew half way around the world and then spent who knows how many hours answering questions, so I’m sure he wasn’t 100% thinking when he said it, and then Mackie took it and ran the wrong fucking direction. You can even see in Sebastian’s reaction that he probably wasn’t intending for that to happen. The man already has fucking anxiety, and those of us who have it too know that you don’t always think before you speak. He’s fucking human. So just stop.
