He knew magic before Dr Strange came into existence. They just reduced him to a plot device for Thor.

This is the man who turned Thor into a little frog. FROG! Yet he didn’t use correction he was forced not to use any of his power against Thanos. He could literally turn thanos into a kitty and went on his merry way but no. Marvel nerfed him to nothing. At this moment I won’t be surprised if Loki forgets(yes forgets, not forgot cause I don’t accept marvel IW canon) his own name.

I will never get over the injustice given to this incredible character and what the MCU reduced him to. Loki is a sorcerer genius!
