I love this scene in Deadpool 2 because it’s funny, and it’s gay, but it’s not funny because
it’s gay. And the reason we know that was the intention so clearly is
that this entire scene is almost a deadass repeat of a scene from the
first movie, including its context and tone.

Remember Deadpool
getting stabbed in the head and Vanessa jumping in to save him? And
while there was a fight still ongoing Deadpool’s just got a romantic
soundtrack playing in his head while he makes heart eyes and
finger-into-hole gestures at her?

Yeah, this is exactly the same. Funny, and this time gay, but not funny because it’s gay.

Deadpool is pansexual as fuck and homophobes can eat it.
