I have noticed something about Sam and Dean while watching this show.
Dean fidgets. He twiddles. He jaunts. He sways. He postures. He moves just to be moving. He gestures. He steps, rocks, sways, leans. He squirms. He shifts weight. He reaches. He touches. He rubs. He fiddles
His eyes are all over the place when he’s talking.
He can be a solid chunk of steel at times. Cold, Dead, Still. Terrifying.
But Dean Winchester moves. A lot.Sam, on the other hand, is calm. Contained. Every movement he makes has a purpose. He can be, and often times is, still. Even when he is boiling with rage, he is reserved with his movement. He can stand perfectly still. He can maintain eye contact when talking. Every single movement he makes is with intent.
But Sam- oh, baby, He breathes. When Sam speaks, his breath pattern is almost a part of the dialog. He gasps. He sighs. When Sam inhales, and I mean when he does it there it no missing it, his entire body reacts. He becomes three feet taller. His shoulders roll back. His back arches. He throws his head back. His eyes close. His arms nearly splay. The man fills himself with power when he inhales. He is a raging fire under a calm lake.
Dean Winchester is movement.
Sam Winchester is breath.
