let’s suppose that the gay character they’re talking about in the star wars universe is actually poe dameron. but he doesn’t end up with finn for whatever reason. IT. IS. STILL. REPRESENTATION. poe has a boyfriend? nice. poe flirts with guys? yay. poe doesn’t date anyone but states his preference towards men? cool. it’s still important even if the ship you like doesn’t become canon, and that goes for any ship. keep this in mind :)))
